How would you describe that feeling of disinterest or preference for something else? It's like it simply doesn't align with your tastes, isn't it?

Think of it this way: You have specific likes and dislikes, and when an activity or a topic falls outside your preferred zone, this idiom perfectly captures that sentiment. It's a polite way of saying "I don't like it" or "I'm not interested."
